Examples of Eligible Programs

Grants are awarded on an annual basis and applications must be submitted between May 1st to May 31st. Grants are awarded in July. Questions regarding grants can be emailed to bbfinfo@booboofoundation.org.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) rescue groups, shelters and organizations that are active in animal welfare and have programs that benefit senior dogs, those with special needs and dogs rescued from abuse or neglect are welcome to apply.  Grants are $2,000 and are distributed based on annual availability.

Medical funding outside of the scope of routine medical care, including special medical needs

Funding for the care, placement and life improvement  of senior dogs, those with special needs and dogs rescued from abuse or neglect.

Funding for rehabilitation, educational and behavioral programs for dogs rescued from abuse or neglect

Funding for prevention, treatment and education of heartworm disease

Planning and infrastructure to support betterment of shelter dogs

501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity as classified by the IRS

Rescue groups, shelters and organizations active in animal welfare and in good standing with the community

Grant funding must demonstrably benefit senior, neglected or abused dogs

Program must have clearly defined goals and the amount requested must be reflected within the scope of the program

Must consent to allow the Booboo Foundation to post grant recipients and success stories on our website
